Paranoid America

Ya know, since 9/11, America’s stress-level has dramatically increased. The Bush Administration is easily to blame for it too! No wonder, all we can hear coming out of Georgie’s mouth is shit like “The war on terror isn’t over – We must secure ourselves and protect our children, and so on, etc.” Those poor Americans are seeing red everywhere! The Terrorists are near!!! The Terrorists are everywhere! Aaaaaaahh!!!
Well, here’s another proof of that fear-factor in the U.S: Aqua Teen Hunger Force! No, it is not a revamped version of the Teenage Ninja Turtles! It’s a t.v. series shown on Cartoon Network and it’s about 3 fast food characters just being retarded, ya know, stupid stuff! (Can you tell I don’t watch the show!) Now, in an attempt to create a publicity buzz, the people behind the show thought it would be great to place advertisement characters, in the form of electronic-blinking signs (shown left-above) in nine different cities in the States. One of them being Boston was included. So, basically, someone saw one of those devices and thought “It’s a bomb!! Aaaah!! The terrorist are here!!” and that created chaos all over Boston to the point that those devices were actually destroyed by policemen and I mean literally destroyed by the bomb squad!! Read more here.
